Coaching Certifications

Every element of our training is anchored in the International Coaching Federation’s Core Competencies and Code of Ethics.

The Curriculum

We practice and teach Integrative Coaching — blending ICF-accredited mastery with entrepreneurial acumen, delivered through our proprietary ILLUMIN8 framework.

Welcome

Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about Lumina.

If you’re exploring professional coach education, we’re honoured you’ve found your way here.

When we began building Lumina Legacy Institute, we weren’t asking ourselves how to create another coaching certification. We were asking a much bigger question: What does the coaching profession need from the next generation of coaches?

As we reflected on that question, one belief continued to guide us:

You can only ever meet someone as deeply as you have met yourself.

We believe every coaching conversation is shaped by the person behind the questions. Your presence, your character, your ability to listen without judgment, your willingness to remain curious, and your capacity to create space for another person to think, discover, and grow will always matter more than memorizing a framework.

That belief shapes everything we do.

At Lumina, our role is to help you cultivate the knowledge, discernment, and presence required of an exceptional professional coach. Through rigorous education, mentor coaching, live practice, thoughtful feedback, and meaningful conversations, you’ll learn to embody the International Coaching Federation Core Competencies while developing your own authentic coaching presence. You’ll also become fluent in the Lumina Navigation System, our proprietary coaching methodology designed to help you coach with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.

At its heart, coaching is an act of profound service. Every day, coaches are invited into conversations that people rarely have anywhere else. They sit with leaders making difficult decisions, parents searching for clarity, entrepreneurs carrying the weight of uncertainty, individuals navigating change, and human beings longing to become more fully themselves.

There is something deeply sacred about being entrusted with those moments.

We believe that trust deserves more than technical skill. It deserves coaches who continue doing their own inner work, who lead with humility, who remain deeply curious, and who understand that the greatest gift they can offer another person is their full presence.

We also believe that coaches who are called to this work deserve the opportunity to build lives and careers that allow them to continue serving others for years to come. That is why our education extends beyond coaching competencies to include leadership, professional identity, ethical business development, and the practical foundations of building a sustainable coaching practice. Whether your future leads you into entrepreneurship, executive leadership, healthcare, education, consulting, or organizational development, our goal is to prepare you to contribute to the profession with both excellence and integrity.

That is why Lumina is more than a place to learn. It is a community of practice where faculty, mentors, students, and alumni are united by a shared commitment to excellence, lifelong learning, and the continual advancement of the coaching profession.

Here, coaching is observed, ideas are challenged, feedback is welcomed, and growth is pursued together. The relationships you build throughout the program are designed to continue long after graduation through our growing Lumina Alumni Network, ongoing professional development, advanced education, mentorship opportunities, and a community of coaches who continue to learn from and contribute to one another.

We believe the strongest coaches are shaped not only by exceptional education, but by the quality of the people who surround them. Our hope is that when you leave Lumina, you won’t just remember what you learned. You’ll remember the mentors who believed in you, the peers who challenged you, the conversations that changed your perspective, and the institution that continued to invest in your growth long after graduation.

That is the heart behind Lumina. We would be honoured to welcome you into it.
